Using SCHS Portal

The E-Learning Platform of the Saudi Patient Safety Center “SPSC” referred to as " Patient Safety Learning Platform” or “Platform” is available for personal use. Logging in and using the Portal is subject to the Terms of Use and to Saudi laws and regulations. By accessing and logging in to this platform you unconditionally agree to the Terms of Use, whether you are a registered or non-registered user, effective as of the date you use the platform for the first time.

Using the platform is subject to a number of terms and conditions, which are regularly updated as required. Any change or update to any of the terms and conditions shall go into effect once approved by the Administrator. Therefore, you must regularly review the Terms of Use and Disclaimer to learn of any new updates. Your continued use of the platform means that you have read and agree to any amendments to the Terms of Use. Note that the Terms of Use include the copyrights; moreover, the Administrator is not obliged to announce any updates to the Terms of Use.

Restrictions

By using the platform, you agree to refrain from all of the following:

  1. Providing or uploading files which contain software, material, data or any other information which are not owned by or licensed to be used by you.
  2. Using the platform in any way to send commercial emails or spam, or any abuse of such kind of the platform.
  3. Providing or uploading files that contain viruses or damaged data.
  4. Publishing, announcing, distributing, or circulating materials or other information containing defamation, violations to laws, porn, obscenity, violations to Islamic teachings or public morality, or any other illegal material or information through the platform.
  5. Participating in activities that are illegal or unlawful in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the platform.
  6. Advertising – on the platform - any product or service in violation of the laws or regulations applicable to any field.
  7. Using any means, software or procedure to disable or in an attempt to disable the operation of the platform.
  8. Doing any action which imposes unreasonable, heavy or inappropriate load to the platform’s infrastructure.
Linking to Patient Safety Learning Platform
  1. It is forbidden to move or copy, create links for or display any of the platform’s contents.
  2. It is allowed to provide links for the platform at any other websites whose goals and purposes do not contravene the platform’s goals, policies, and frameworks.
  3. SPSC is in no way associated or affiliated with any trademarks, logos, commercial symbols or services, or any other means that are used by or appear on websites with links to the platform or their contents.
  4. SPSC reserves the right to disable or suspend any link from any website that contains inappropriate, defamatory, infringing, indecent, pornographic, inacceptable or illegal contents, as well as names, material or information violating any laws or infringing on any intellectual property rights, privacy rights or publicity rights.
  5. SPSC reserves the right to disable any form of unauthorized linking and disclaims any responsibility for the contents available on any other website reached by following links posted on the platform or those leading to the platform.
Linking from Patient Safety Learning Platform
  1. Links to other platforms, portals and/or websites are provided for the convenience of the Visitor. We shall not be liable for the contents or credibility of such platforms, portals and/or websites and we do not endorse their contents.
  2. Therefore, using such links to access such websites shall be entirely your responsibility. We aim to replace invalid links - non-working - to other websites, but we cannot guarantee that these links will always work as we have no control over such links.
  3. Virus protection: We make every effort to check and test the contents of the platform at every stage of production; however, we advise you to use antivirus software whenever you attempt to download any content online. We shall not be held liable for any loss of, corruption of or damage to your data or computer system which may occur due to using the platform or the material available on it.

Patient Safety Learning Platform and the services, information, materials and functions available or accessed through it are provided for your personal use on an "as is" and “as available” basis with no acknowledgements, promises or guarantees of any kind whatsoever.

We cannot guarantee and shall not be held liable for any disruptions, errors or violations that may result from using the platform, its contents or any sites linked to it with or without our knowledge.

Any communication or information which a user may send through this platform shall not be entitled to proprietary or confidential status and any use or interactive use involving the platform shall neither guarantee nor mean to grant a user any rights, licenses or other privileges whatsoever.

Limitation of Liability

The e-services provided online by the platform and the information about different government agencies and authorities are intended only to simplify manual procedures. You hereby acknowledge that you completely understand that online communications may be subject to interference or interception by a third party, that the platform does not substitute information available through the official authorities and that the applications and administrative procedures can be made directly before the competent authorities.

Consequently, using the platform shall be at your own risk, as we shall not be responsible for any losses or damages which you may incur as a result of using or visiting the platform, relying on any statements, opinions, or announcements posted on the platform, or any delay in internet connection or access failures and difficulties, malfunctions in equipment and software, or the views of any person accessing the platform. You hereby acknowledge and agree that your sole and exclusive remedy for any damages or losses incurred as a result of accessing or using the platform is to refrain from or discontinue using or accessing it.

Indemnification

You hereby acknowledge that you shall not take any measures against SPSC or any of its directorates, as well as any parties, employees or agents responsible for managing, maintaining, updating or administering the platform. This is considered an exemption of any liabilities or responsibilities that may arise due to any claims resulting from your violation of the Terms of Use or any other applicable laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the country of your residence.

General terms and conditions
  1. All materials and information available on the platform are educational and for awareness.
  2. The Arabic language is the primary language for using the platform and benefiting from all the materials published on it, and the translation of any of these materials is intended to provide an added service, and accordingly, the available translation is not relied upon in interpreting any dispute about the content included in the platform.
  3. All the regulations and laws published on the platform, whether related to the Saudi Patient Safety Center or other parties, may be subject to translation to interpret their meanings in order to increase the benefit, but the Arabic translation of all these regulations and laws constitutes the basic reference, and therefore it is not possible in any way to rely on their interpretive translation to derive information or details. The platform includes a number of e-Participation channels and tools such as forums, opinion polls, blogs, voting system, visitor comments, personal subscriptions, and SMS messages.
  4. The platform management has set a number of standards and restrictions for the use of all e-Participation channels, in a way that guarantees achieving the highest desired benefit from the principle of electronic participation, and your use of these channels is a permanent approval of the standards and restrictions for their use.
  5. SPSC has the full right to delete or not publish any comments or posts for platform users that the platform management deems inappropriate.
